Baptism card … white on white

My nephew's baptism was this weekend passed and I made this card. It was a total Pinterest CASE but I love how it turned out, it was well received by the family too which makes me happy.

I'm loving white on white, may just have to do more of it!

Cheers Lorena!!

Toy Story themed birthday party

My boy turned 6!  He wanted a Toy Story birthday party. We invited the whole grade 1 class and also his sister's grade 2 class.

Productive day/evening at a crop

I went to a crop at Auntie Em's Scrapbooking in Cornwall yesterday and got productive with 7 layouts completed.

This is me as a kid riding a tricycle, I used  the Carta Bella collection called Fall Blessings. And Prima flowers.
This is me and my Grandfather on my Dad's side. Again using the Crta Bella Fall Blessings collection and Prima flowers.
These are my kiddos on their way back to school in 2014! I used the Echo Park collecrion School Days. I hand folded a paper airplane.
Very little patterned paper used here. I used watercolouring through a doily and Prima flowers, glitter and microbeeds.
The is me and my hubby back when we first started dating! And used the Authentique paper line caked Durable. Prima flowers and a Kaisercraft wood embellishment for the title with Prima glitter.
This is me taking a selfie after getting a 'new do'! The papers are a mixture of Bo Bunny, Prima and Echo Park. Flowers are Prima and so are the letters, and embellishments.

Catching up

Months, it's been months since I have posted anything.  I have been hoarding my paper stash rather than using it. I once described the desktop in my studio as a landfill: layers of unfinished projects, and the deeper you go the older the project is.

Gone, gone, gone, I've been gone too long

Has it really been over six months since my last post? Wow, where has the time gone?

I was chatting with one of my crafty friends recently, who advised me she missed reading my blog posts. So, here you go; this is what I've been up to recently.

I was watching an episode of Live With Prima, and Cari made a beautiful frame similar to this. So here's my version ... Is it still considered scraplifting if it's off the page?

I made this small canvas with capital Wood Icons from Prima. I had a whole package of them not being used, and while I love them I did not know what to do with them, so I made NEWFOUNDLAND!!

Here is a close-up shot of the butterfly. I used a Prima stamp to stamp the image onto Velum and coloured with my Copic markers on the reverse. Added a Wilton flower stamon for the antenna and there you go!!

I hope to be blogging again more often again.

Thanks for looking.

Sock monkey card

My nephew turned one. And my sister has always had a theme with him of sock monkeys. This is the card I created for his birthday.

Personally I can't stand monkeys. They have always creeped me out. This card was very hard for me to do. Lol

Give me your thoughts.
